EU Member States approve release of €120 million from crisis reserve

As expected, on Monday 7 October at the meeting of the Committee of the Common Organisation of Agricultural Markets on horizontal issues, the EU Member States approved the European Commission’s proposal to release €119.7 million from the 2024 agricultural reserve.

In detail, these amounts should benefit farmers in Germany (€46.5 million), Bulgaria (€10.9 million), Estonia (€3.3 million), Italy (€37.4 million) and Romania (€21.6 million), who suffered “exceptional adverse...
