European construction industry publishes recommendations on EU talent pool

On Wednesday 2 October, the European Construction Industry Federation (FIEC) welcomed the European Commission’s proposal to establish an EU talent pool, which was put forward at the end of 2023 and approved by the Council of the EU in June. It does, however, believe that it could be merged with the existing EURES matching tool (for job vacancies in the EU) to create a single platform for the recruitment of EU and third country jobseekers.
