EU should review its intention to impose tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, according to Pedro Sánchez

During his visit to China on Wednesday 11 September, the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, said that the imposition of anti-subsidy tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles should be “reconsidered”. “We don’t need another war, in this case a trade war”, he said.

The Commission is due to impose its definitive tariffs by the end of October, having already warned Chinese producers in August of the measures that will soon be adopted (see EUROPE B13466A2).
