‘European Peace Facility’, EU extends its assistance measure for African Union

23/07/2024 (Agence Europe) – The Council of the EU has decided to extend by one year the EU assistance measure taking the form of a general programme for support to the African Union (AU) under the ‘European Peace Facility’, until 31 December 2025. This measure for 2022-2024, amounting to €600 million (see EUROPE B12936A10), enables the financing of actions in support of the AU approved by the Political and Security Committee by 31 December 2024.
