European Commission opens a call for evidence to update ecodesign rules for heating and cooling products

On Thursday 27 June, the European Commission launched a call for evidence to update the EU ecodesign rules for air heating and cooling products.

It is inviting comments from the public and stakeholders on potential changes to the regulations initially established in 2016 and implemented in 2018 and 2021.

The revision aims to incorporate recent technological advances such as heat recovery and the free cooling technique.
