On Tuesday 11 June, the European Commission proposed extending the temporary protection granted to people fleeing Russian aggression against Ukraine for a further year, from 5 March 2025 to 4 March 2026.
This proposal will be presented to the Interior Ministers of the EU27 on 13 June in Luxembourg and should be approved without difficulty.
