EU and New Zealand welcome entry into force of their free trade agreement

The European Union and New Zealand reaffirmed the strength of their bilateral relationship at a Joint Committee meeting in Brussels on Monday 27 May.

Celebrating the entry into force of their free trade agreement on 1 May (see EUROPE B13378A29), they stressed their support for a rules-based trading system against a backdrop of global geopolitical tensions.
