On Friday 17 May, the European Commission announced that it had sent a request for additional information to the search engine Bing concerning the specific risks associated with its generative artificial intelligence (AI) functions.
An initial request for information was sent in March, but no response was received from the platform. The Commission is now requiring Bing to provide the information requested by 27 May, failing which it may consider imposing sanctions.
