EU Council adopts review of occasional passenger transport

15/04/24 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 12 April, the EU Council validated the agreement reached with the European Parliament on the revision of the rules on driving time and rest periods for drivers of occasional bus and coach services (see EUROPE B13339A3). “The new rules on minimum breaks and rests will ensure better working conditions for bus drivers and guarantee better services for tourist trips across Europe”, commented Georges Gilkinet, the Belgian minister for mobility.
