EU launches e-FishMed project to help combat illegal fishing in Mediterranean

On Monday 15 April, as part of the EU-funded e-FishMed project, the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) launched an exchange programme to enhance cooperation and promote sharing of expertise and best practice in the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

The exchange programme is targeted to fisheries inspectors and Fisheries Monitoring Centres operators from the five e-FishMed Beneficiary Countries: Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia. The...
