Gambia, EU Council re-establishes standard rates for obtaining short-stay visas for travel to Schengen area

12/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 12 April, the EU Council decided to reduce the price of short-stay visas for Gambian nationals wishing to travel to the Schengen area from €120 to €80. Due to Gambia’s lack of cooperation on the readmission of its nationals residing illegally in the EU, the Council decided in December 2022 to increase the normal visa fee applicable to Gambian nationals to €120.
