European Parliament and EU Council to seek agreement on autonomous trade measures for Ukraine

03/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – Negotiators from the European Parliament and the Council are due to meet again on Monday 8 April to try to reach agreement on the regulation abolishing tariffs on imports from Ukraine, according to three European sources. The agreement reached between the two institutions on 20 March did not convince the EU27, who modified their position and asked that products be added to the automatic safeguard provided for in the regulation (see EUROPE B13375A9).
