Detection of asbestos in buildings, Commission still intends to present a legislative initiative before end of parliamentary term

01/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 31 January, in response to a letter sent the previous day by European trade unions on the absence of a legislative proposal on the screening of buildings in the European Union for the presence of asbestos (see EUROPE B13339A30), the European Commission told EUROPE that it still intends to present a text by the end of this legislative cycle.
