MEPs adopt their negotiating position on maritime safety package

On Thursday 7 December, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) adopted their negotiating position on four texts included in the maritime safety package (see EUROPE B13268A18): - port State control; - compliance with flag State requirements; - investigation of accidents in the maritime transport sector; - the mandate of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).
