Inflation confirmed at 2.9% in euro area in October

17/11/23 (Agence Europe) – In October, the annual inflation rate was 2.9% in the euro area, compared to 4.3% in September, and 3.6% in the European Union, compared to 4.9% the previous month, according to statistics published by the EU’s statistical office (Eurostat) on Friday 17 November. The lowest rates were observed in Belgium (-1.7%), the Netherlands (-1.0%) and Denmark (-0.4%), while the highest were recorded in Hungary (9.6%), the Czech Republic (9.5%) and Romania (8.3%).
