Child protection measures under DSA, Commission opens probe into TikTok and YouTube

The European Commission sent, on Thursday 9 November, requests for information to the digital giants YouTube and TikTok concerning the measures they have implemented to comply with their obligations to protect minors under the Digital Services Act (DSA) (see EUROPE B13262A9).

The Commission wants to know what action has been taken by the two digital platforms in terms of risk assessment and mitigation measures to protect young audiences online, particularly with regard to risks to mental...
