European Commission welcomes outcome of first call for tenders under EU renewable energy financing mechanism

02/10/23 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 29 September, the European Commission announced that the first call for tenders under the EU’s renewable energy financing mechanism, which opened in April and closed on 27 September, had exceeded expectations, with projects totalling 516 MW in capacity. Projects located in Finland, with a minimum capacity of 5 MW and a maximum of 100 MW, were in the running for a budget of €40 million, provided by Luxembourg’s voluntary contribution. The...
