EU General Court annuls sanctions targeting oligarch Aleksandr Shulgin

06/09/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 6 September, the General Court of the European Union annulled EU Council Decisions (2022/1530 and 2023/572) and the implementing Regulation (2023/571) insofar as the name of the oligarch Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Shulgin, CEO of the Ozon e-commerce platform, was maintained on the list of persons and entities sanctioned by the EU (Case T-364/22). It accepts the plea put forward by Mr Shulgin’s defence alleging a manifest error of assessment by...
