EU and four international partners join forces in Tokyo to reduce methane emissions

On Tuesday 18 July, the European Commission, along with Japan, the United States, South Korea and Australia, reaffirmed its commitment to reducing methane emissions throughout the liquefied natural gas (LNG) value chain.

The joint declaration signed at the conference of LNG producers and consumers in Tokyo aims to strengthen international cooperation against emissions of methane, a powerful greenhouse gas.
