Only three countries have submitted their national energy and climate plans on time

Member States had until 30 June to submit their updated National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) for the period 2021-2030 to the European Commission. 

However, at the end of this deadline, according to information gathered by 14 NGOs in 15 EU countries and communicated by the European network CAN Europe, only three countries - Spain, Croatia and Slovenia - had met the deadline.
