22/06/2023 (Agence Europe) – The humanitarian and security situation in Haiti and the humanitarian situation in ACP countries affected by terrorism are the two subjects on which emergency resolutions are due to be voted at the 43rd session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (Brussels, 24-28 June), the political forum of the Cotonou Agreement linking the EU and 78 African, Caribbean and Pacific countries that are members of the organisation of ACP States. MEPs are also expected to adopt resolutions on: - cooperation on maritime safety and the promotion of the Rule of law on the oceans; - the EU list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions. Debates without resolution are planned on critical raw materials, the energy transition and climate change in ACP/EU cooperation, and the reform of the Security Council, the European Parliament said on Thursday 22 June.
