European Parliament calls for sanctions against those trying to destabilise country

On Wednesday 19 April, MEPs called for sanctions against those trying to destabilise Moldova (see EUROPE B13125A2).

“The European Parliament calls on the EU and its Member States to take immediate sanctions against those who attempt to destabilise the Republic of Moldova, undermine its security, stability and constitutional order or corrupt its political and economic institutions,” says the joint resolution adopted by the Parliament (55 votes in favour, 49 against and 26 abstentions).
