EU could lose more than 27 million people by 2100

06/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – The population of the European Union could fall by 6% by 2100, or 27.3 million people, according to projections published by the EU’s statistical office (Eurostat) at the end of March. After a decrease in 2020 and 2021, it increased in 2022 with the influx of people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
