Banned pesticides, NGOs call on Belgium to respect EU Court of Justice ruling

02/03/23 (Agence Europe) – The NGOs PAN Europe (Pesticide Action Network Europe) and Nature & Progrès Belgium announced on Wednesday 1 March that they have given the Belgian State formal notice to comply “within 15 days” with the judgment of the Court of Justice which condemned it in January (case C-162/21) for abusing emergency derogations (Article 53 of the ‘Pesticides’ Regulation) for banned pesticides (see EUROPE B13103A28).
