In Ankara, the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, and the Swedish Minister for Economic Cooperation and Trade, Johan Forssell, met with Turkish authorities on Wednesday 22 February to discuss the needs of the earthquake-affected country in preparation for the international donors’ conference on 16 March in Brussels, which is being co-hosted to benefit the affected populations in Turkey and Syria (see EUROPE B13126A14).
