EU is building up additional reserves of equipment for chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear emergencies

To better deal with possible chemical, biological and radiological (CBRN) incidents, RescEU strategic equipment pools will be established in Croatia, France and Poland as part of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) and the European Health Emergency Response and Preparedness Authority (HERA), the European Commission announced on Monday 20 February.

These reserves, with a total value of €545.6 million, are financed by HERA. They will be added to the one already in place in Finland...
