Mairead McGuinness outlines content of PSD2 review and ‘Open Finance’

During the 7th Annual FinTech and Regulation Conference on Tuesday 7 February, the European Commissioner for Financial Services, Mairead McGuinness, gave more details on the upcoming review of the PSD2 Payment Services Directive and the ‘Open Finance’ framework (see EUROPE B12840A6).

The revision of the Payment Services Directive focuses on four main issues: - preventing fraud; - improving implementation and enforcement; - ensuring a level playing field between banks and other providers...
