03/02/23 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission published, in the evening of Thursday 2 February, its analytical reports assessing the ability of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia to assume the obligations of EU membership. These reports provide a detailed analysis of the state of play of these countries regarding their alignment with the EU acquis based on the replies to the questionnaires of the three countries and the relevant information obtained in the framework of the dialogues under the Association Agreements. These reports complement the Opinions on the three countries’ applications for EU membership adopted by the European Commission in June 2022. The EU has recognised Georgia’s European perspective and granted candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova.
