The Energy Ministers of the European Union Member States reached a political agreement (‘general approach’) on the proposal for an EU regulation to combat methane (CH4) leakage in the energy sector on Monday 19 December in Brussels. They did not make any changes to the latest draft compromise tabled by the Czech Presidency of the EU Council (see EUROPE B13086A2). EUROPE will return to this subject (DG)
