Ocean Viking, France decides to permit disembarkation of NGO SOS Méditerranée ship

10/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – France agreed on Thursday 10 November to let the SOS Méditerranée ship Ocean Viking disembark in Toulon. The ship had been looking for a safe port for over 15 days to disembark more than 234 people, four of whom had to be evacuated to Corsica on Thursday morning. France will host the Ocean Viking “on an exception basis”, said its interior minister, Gérald Darmanin, adding that “one third of its passengers” would be relocated within France. He...
