EU concerned about new law on presidential prerogatives
Brussels, 02/11/2022 (Agence Europe)

The EU ambassador to Montenegro, Oana Cristina Popa, expressed on Wednesday 2 November the EU’s concerns about the previous day’s vote in the Montenegrin Parliament, which alters the President’s prerogatives on the appointment of a Prime Minister. This new law would be contrary to the Constitution.

All legislative acts should be in line with the Constitution. The matter is particularly sensitive in the absence of an effective Constitutional Court”, the ambassador stressed.
