Euro area annual inflation is estimated at 10.7% in October, up from 9.9% in September, according to a flash estimate published by the statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat) on Monday 31 October.
Price increases were lowest in France (7.1%), Spain (7.3%) and Malta (7.5%). It was still the highest in the Baltic countries: 22.4% in Estonia, 22.0% in Lithuania and 21.8% in Latvia. In Germany, inflation was 11.6% and in Italy it was 12.8%.
