Frenchwoman Thérèse Blanchet appointed Secretary-General

07/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, announced on Friday 7 October in Prague that the Heads of State or Government of the European Union had approved the nomination of the Swiss-French Thérèse Blanchet to the post of Secretary-General of the Council of the EU, a position that has been vacant for several months following the departure of Jeppe Tranholm-Mikkelsen from Denmark. Ms Blanchet has been the Council’s legal adviser since 2019....
