The fifth EU-Taiwan Consultation on Human Rights took place on Wednesday 5 October and involved three representatives of the European External Action Service (EEAS) and Taiwanese Minister without Portfolio Lo Ping-cheng. According to the EEAS, this consultation reinforced “the great extent to which values are aligned and a strong commitment on both sides to comply with international human rights standards”.
