Trade in agri-food products in April 2022 increased by 14% compared to the same month last year to reach €31.4 billion, according to figures published by the European Commission on 28 July. This is due in particular to strong growth in exports of butter (+69%), wheat (+25%) and maize (46%) compared to 2021. However, imports (+28%) increased more than exports (+10%).
