EU Council appoints two new members

16/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 16 June, the EU Council appointed two new members - George Marius Hyzler from Malta and Lefteris Christoforou from Cyprus - to the European Court of Auditors (ECA) for a six-year term. The European Parliament had given favourable opinions of their nomination on 3 May (see EUROPE B12944A10). Mr Hyzler, who since 2018 has been the Commissioner for Standards in Public Life in Malta, has been appointed as a member for the period from 1 October 2022...
