13/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – We would like to inform our readers of a date error in our article entitled “’Fit for 55’ package, deciphering main votes in European Parliament”, which was published on Friday 10 June (see EUROPE 12969/10). In the section detailing the European Parliament’s vote in favour of ending the use of new combustion engine vehicles in 2035, we wrote that MEPs had chosen to maintain the intermediate targets that had been proposed by the European Commission: -15% by 2030; -55% for cars and -50% for vans by 2030. The first target (-15%) was actually set for 2025, not 2030. The online version has been corrected. (DG)
