13/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – A delegation of eight MEPs from the European Parliament’s Development Committee, led by Tomas Tobé (EPP, Sweden), will undertake a three-day mission to Moldova from 15 June to assess the humanitarian impact of the war in Ukraine. The delegation will assess the situation of refugees arriving and remaining in the country and the EU’s humanitarian response. It will meet members of the EU delegation in Chișinău, representatives of Member States working in Moldova and humanitarian partners. The MEPs will also meet the President of the Moldovan Parliament, Igor Grosu, and the heads of the Moldovan parliamentary committees on national security, defence and public order, social protection, health and family, human rights and inter-ethnic relations. The delegation will include members of the EPP, S&D, Renew Europe and ID political groups. (AN)
