30/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission proposed on Monday 30 May to support 206 workers made redundant by household appliances companies in Attica, Greece, with €1.5 million from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) for redundant workers, says a statement. This funding will help people to find new employment through appropriate counselling and guidance, training and support to start their own business. Greece has applied for EGF assistance to support the redundant workers of six household appliance manufacturers in the Greek region of Attica. The redundancies are linked to a number of factors, including shortages in the supply of electrical components and high national production costs. (SP)
