EU Council adopts two assistance measures for Ukraine under European Peace Facility worth €490 million

24/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 24 May, the Council of the EU adopted two assistance measures using the European Peace Facility for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These measures had been politically agreed at the Foreign Affairs Council of 18 May (see EUROPE B12953A2). €490 million of these funds will be spent on military equipment designed to provide lethal force for defensive purposes.
