Spain has a satisfactory system of official welfare controls regarding laying hens within the country, according to a report by the EU’s Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) that was published on Wednesday 13 April.
The report by the EU experts concludes that the administrative and legal framework (at central and autonomous community level) “adequately supports the system of official controls on animal welfare in place”.
