European Commission allocates €9 million for mental health care for refugees forced to flee Ukraine

Brussels, 13/04/2022 (Agence Europe) – The EU Commissioner for Health, Stella Kyriakides, has announced that the Commission has allocated €9 million for psychological support for people fleeing Ukraine due to the Russian invasion of the country.

This mental health support will take the form of psychological first aid, post-trauma support and counselling in the refugees’ language.
