In the fourth quarter of 2021, seasonally adjusted GDP rose 0.3% in the euro area and 0.4% in the European Union compared with the previous quarter, according to the estimate published by the statistical office of the EU (Eurostat) on Thursday, 10 March.
Over 2021 as a whole, GDP increased 5.3% in the euro area and in the EU, after −6.4% and −5.9%, respectively, in 2020.
