EIB announces €600 million loan to support semiconductor sector in Italy and France

03/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – In the wake of the European Chips Act (see EUROPE B12886A1), the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced in a press release on Wednesday 2 March a €600 million loan to STMicroelectronics in France and Italy. This loan is intended to finance research and development and aims to build European autonomy in this key sector for the European economy with high and very high added value. (PH)
