European Commission to present semiconductors legislation on 8 February

31/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – The legislation on semiconductors, known as the ‘European Chips Act’ (see EUROPE B12796A10), is expected to be presented on Tuesday 8 February, according to a new draft version of the agenda items for the College of Commissioners dated Friday 28 January. The legislation is eagerly awaited among Member States following the global shortages of semiconductors that have hit the automotive sector hard.
