European Commission approves two new PDOs from Croatia and Portugal

31/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 31 January, the Commission announced the addition of ‘Bračko maslinovo ulje’ from Croatia and ‘Carne Ramo Grande’ from Portugal to the EU register of protected designations of origin (PDOs). ‘Bračko maslinovo ulje’ olive oil is produced on the island of Brač, the highest island point of the Adriatic islands. ‘Carne Ramo Grande’ is the meat of the Ramo Grande breed of cattle, raised in the Azores archipelago.
