Emissions from EU economic activities fell 24% between 2008 and 2020, according to Eurostat

14/01/2022 (Agence Europe)Greenhouse gas emissions generated by the European Union’s economic activities, namely production activities (agriculture, manufacturing, transport, electricity and gas supply, etc.) and household consumption (heating, transport, etc.), amounted to 3.5 billion tonnes of CO2 equivalents in 2020, according to data published on Monday 10 January by the EU’s statistics office Eurostat. This represents a decrease of 9% compared to 2019 and 24% compared to 2008....
