13/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – In the article “Proposals of European Parliament rapporteur, Peter Liese, on revision of ETS” (see EUROPE B12867A3), we wrote that MEP Peter Liese (EPP, Germany) is proposing to extend the scope of the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) to greenhouse gas emissions from waste incineration plants. We would like to clarify that this proposal applies only to municipal waste. The article in question has since been amended. (DG)
