A vacancy notice was published in the Official Journal of the EU on Wednesday 5 January for the post of Head of the Office of the Secretary General of the EU Council. This is a very senior position, with the Secretary General being responsible for the organisation and execution of the services provided by the Secretariat-General to the Council Presidencies and the President of the European Council. In this context, the Head of the Office will advise the Secretary General by also assisting the Private Office of the President of the European Council and liaising with the Presidency of the other EU institutions.
