Glyphosate passed its preliminary safety test on the basis of truncated studies, denunciate scientists

The fact that glyphosate has passed the first stage of its safety assessment for possible renewal in the EU beyond 15 December 2022 was criticised by scientists on Friday 26 November.

This is due to the scientific data provided by the applicant industry, which led the four rapporteur Member States (France, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Sweden) to declare this pesticide safe, much to the dismay of many NGOs (see EUROPE B12811A5).
